Snow resorts in Fukushima prefecture center around the inland area near Lake Inawashiro and southern Aizu region. Family owned small inns are available in the ski slopes in southern Aizu, and visitors can experience local life style in the heart-warming atmosphere. City of Aizuwakamatsu has a long history and was once a battle field during the turmoil before the Meiji Restoration. It is an ideal tourist spot.
